The Workforce Analytics Certification Series consists of four workshops (Levels 1-4) based on the strategic usage of workforce data in order to effectively manage human capital. Upon completion of the series, practitioners will be certified as having the tools and skills necessary to operate an analytics/data-driven HR. While early levels are not prerequisites for higher levels, all four courses must be attended to receive certification.

Level 1: Developing and Selecting Strategic HR Metrics for a Dashboard (formerly Metrics 101) is focused on the basics of HR metrics and building a strategic measurement foundation.

Level 2: “Telling the Story” with Dashboard Metrics (formerly Metrics 200) is a continuation course to Level 1 and is designed for Business Partners, Generalists, COE Leaders and HR analysts who have some basic experience with HR and workforce measures. The course is focused on helping practitioners answer the “so what” behind metric results that executives are most interested in and develop a business case for HR initiatives based on metric results.

Level 3: Root Cause Analysis and Workforce Analytics looks at uncovering the true drivers behind metrics results and understanding which “levers to pull” to drive improved outcomes. This course will cover an approach to analytics including hypothesis structuring and root cause analysis.

Level 4: HR Financial Literacy and ROI will enable HR business partners, generalists, and managers to speak the language of the business and show how HR programs and key workforce decisions impact the bottom line. Additionally, it will cover how to calculate the ROI of HR interventions.
